Heort Creek marks the north border of the Red Cow Lands.
The confluence of the Jarol River which drains the Wolf Hills and Two-Pine Ridge, and the Torkan River which flows from the Still Lake in Torkan's Vale, meet at Dinosaur Hill give rise to the Heort Creek. The Heort Creek is also known as the Wandle, for its nymph. She is a lover of Krikans, the spirit of the Creek River.
There is little river traffic on the Heort Creek. What traffic there is on the river is fishermen, in Turtle Boats. Most of these are singlefisherman sized boats, but some will bear two or three fishermen and Tarkalus Bigger-Boat's boat will carry six.
The fishermen only rarely navigate the Creek in search of fish. The fish there is plentiful, but the dangers of the waters greater.
