A hill in Wulfsland, Ambush Hill rises six hundred feet above the woods of Stagland. Its top is bare and can be easily seen by anyone who climbs a Stagland tree. On the summit a henge of wood marks the site of an old temple to Orlanth. In the Storm Age, Finovan watched for the Bull Leapers here and ambushed their sacred caravan. He stole their sacred purple bulls and added them to his own herd.
The Maboder used to worship Orlanth here, when not at
the ceremonies at Good Rain Hill. Rebels continue to use it to
worship Orlanth, especially the Daughters of Mabodh, despite
the efforts of Jomes Hostralos.
