Pharasma, the Lady of Graves
"She doesn't take sides. She doesn't grant mercy. She judges — accurately, impartially, and without appeal. The dead don't complain about the process."
Goddess of fate, death, prophecy, and birth. Pharasma is the judge of the dead — every mortal soul passes before her for judgment, and she assigns them to whatever afterlife their actions earned. She is not cruel, not kind, not merciful, not merciless. She is accurate. Her faith is built on the understanding that death is not an ending but a transition, and that the transition should be handled with professionalism.
Her clergy serve as midwives, morticians, and guardians against undead — the three stages of Pharasma's jurisdiction. They despise undead with a particular theological fury, viewing them as souls that have been stolen from the natural cycle. In Canorate, Pharasma's small temple handles the city's funerals, birth records, and the occasional exorcism.
Tengu sometimes call her the Crow Mother, finding kinship in her corvid associations and her patient, watchful judgment.
