southern coast of Unified Caldar. Its sturdy walls and imposing towers
give it an appearance of impenetrability that has kept the city safe
from invasion and pirate raids for centuries. The architecture of the
city is predominantly made of sandstone, blending in with the
surrounding desert landscape. The city is located at the edge of the
desert, with the vast expanse of the Furnace Fields stretching to the
north.
Demographics
Humans make up the majority of the population, but there is also a
significant presence of dwarves, half-elves, elves and gnomes. The city is
also home to a small population of tieflings and dragonborn, who have
found acceptance among the other races. The diverse population has led
to a vibrant cultural scene, with various festivals and celebrations
taking place throughout the year.
Government
The city is governed by the military groups sent here. The commander of the Western Forces,
is the highest rank in Halcystor. Legion commanders have the ultimate authority upon their legions, but general decisions regarding Halcystor lie to the commander of the western forces.

Prior to the Great Sleep, Halcystor was a hub of commerce and trade, with merchants and traders
from across Unified Caldar visiting the city to buy and sell goods. The
city's strategic location on the coast and at the edge of the Scorching
Fields has made it an important trading post for caravans traveling to
and from the desert. The city was also known for its skilled craftsmen,
who produced high-quality goods such as weapons, armor, and jewelry.

The most notable feature of Halcustor is its location. It is built upon rocky cliffs that make it a very fortified and intimidating structure. It has served as a major for Caldarian naval forces and also as a target of strategic value for enemies.
