The massive continent, in the Southern Hemisphere, has taken its name from the first dragon that Arda created and become its protector during the first era. It is unclear whether its diverse biomes are attributed to the fragments' design or its massive size and diving mountain ranges. Regardless of the reason behind it, Caldar features very diverse landscapes, from scorching plains and jungle forests to cold tundras and snowfields. The mountain ranges made the first natural borders between the first nations and were mostly kept that way until now.

1st era: During the second half of the first era, Caldar and his 10 dragon children helped the mortals survive the godly war that was going on. Nations had little organization and were mostly reliant on the dragons to solve the biggest issues. The nation of Caldar was the first and the safest place in the continent. Around it, Ironbeard, Razorleaf, Aldion, Trovius, Darna and Lynev were formed. Those 7 nations were the core of civilization during the first era. The dragons protected the nations to the best of their abilities, but some damage was unavoidable, as the clash between the fragments was in an uncontrollable scale.

2nd era: During the second's era, the Crimson Kingdom was also established and given to the dragonborn after the The Great Dragon Hunts.

The Kingdom Alliance holds almost all the southern big continent (Caldar) of the map except for the black part called The Plaguelands which will be explained further below. The Kingdom Alliance was created during the 3rd Era and under that name, the Kingdoms of the continent signed a peace treaty and allied against a common enemy, the Eratus Empire. After they successfully managed to defend their lands, the Eratus Empire weakened considerably and was no longer an imminent threat. That signaled the end of the 3rd Era. Now those Kingdoms are ruled individually. Despite being under a treaty, sometimes problems and small conflicts ignite here and there, between those Kingdoms.
