One of the first nations to be formed in the continent of Caldar was the result of the Elven communities. The northern part of the continent filled with lush, thick forests, was where most Elf people lived. The overwhelming majority of the elven race lived and still lives there. Their forests keep many secrets and non-elven visitors require permission to enter and leave. It was not uncommon for trespassers to be shot down immediately by quick arrows from nearby treetops. A place of beauty and danger, but also serenity and magic. It is said that the careful and respectful building of Elven cities, has allowed the magic of the land to flourish and grow stronger. The two large islands north of it, and one to the east, also fall under the jurisdiction of the elves.

Geography

The land of this nation features many forests, that covers about 70% of its area. Few mountains pierce the land at the south-central and a massive mountain range forms its natural borders to the south. Rivers split the green valleys and few plains spread at the southwest corner of the nation. The northern part, separated by cliffs has a colder, harsher environment that experiences snowfall quite often. In the center, the terrain gradually scales upwards, layering the forests into three areas. At the uppermost layer, the elves have built the crown of their nation, the largest elven city in the lands of Arda.

Government

Elves have always been ruled by a king or a queen. They have seen that worthy individuals, only grow wiser as time goes by, and often changing those in power, brings chaos and unwanted results to the elven communities. When a ruler reaches dying age, the Elven Sages appoint the next suitable ruler, chosen amongst the family of the previous ruler.

Demographics

An overwhelming 98% of the population are elves, with the remaining 2% split between Half-Elf and other people
