A nation for small people. Lynev was the smallest nation (land-wise) before Darna lost 65% of its territory. This small nation that houses Gnomes and Halfling (Legacy)s had a very favorable position, connecting the rich, powerful nation of Ironbeard with others and offering a massive and secure harbor for naval commerce. Commerce became the main trade of the nation, as gnome inventors flooded the market with their ideas, while halflings acted as their business partners and promoters. Lynev's underground also was rich in rare ores and minerals, allowing the magic gnome researchers to easily experiment with magic and unique components. It has the greater wealth per citizen ratio and was the second richest nation of Caldar (nation), after Golden Sands. The majority of goods and services were sold to Trovius (later Unified Caldar) and then resold to the rest of the world. Lynev experienced much of the horror of the wars in the 2nd era, as Caldar (nation), Aldion, Ironbeard, and Trovius occupied it at different times, despite Lynev trying to maintain a neutral stance.

Geography

Lynev is a giant valley between two mountain ranges. Two main rivers flow down its core part ending in wide waterfalls that drop into a massive lake. This lake which was full of seawater was connected with the sea through gnomish bridge engineering and become the largest and safest port of Caldar. Beautiful, lush forests surround the valley and a colorful forest serves as the border with the dwarven kingdom in the north. The mountain in the center has the richest underground and the city next to it grew so fast that quickly became the capital of the nation.

Government

The nation is ruled by the Three-Pillar Guilds. Each guild has equal power and say in the nation's matters. This government type naturally evolved through the influence and power the guilds had.

Demographics

About 50% of the population are Gnomes, 40% are Halflings, 5% are dwarves, dragonborn, and humans, and the remaining 5% are fractured between other races of Caldar. Lynev has strict policies of not allowing monstrous races to make a home there.

Relations

2nd era: Lynev suffered a lot in the wars of the neighboring nations

3rd era: Joined the alliance and signed trade contracts with many nations, favoring the dragonborn most of any others.
