Description
The first goliaths lived on the highest mountain peaks—far above the tree line, where the air is thin and frigid winds howl. Distantly related to giants and infused with the supernatural essence of their ancestors’ mountainous home, goliaths stand between 7 and 8 feet tall and have a wide array of skin tones resembling different types of stone. Goliaths and Firbolgs share a lot of ancestry and they have lived together in the Wildlands peacefully, with Firbolgs living in the meadows and forest and Goliaths up in the mountains. Both were seen as large sized protectors of the lands that smaller creatures were afraid to provoke their wrath. With the passage of time, however, Goliaths started coming down from the mountains, exploring the lifestyle of the smaller creatures down below. They are very traditional race, with a lot of emphasis on hierarchy, honor and strength.
Origins
Despite their imposing size, their creator was not one favoring violence. Andralte was the one that designed the goliaths with Oromne and Refelia fine tuning some details. They were designed to be overseers of peace, ready to step in if the smaller races were causing too much destruction.
Genetics
Goliaths have naturally neutral alignments, with a tendency towards order than chaos. However some Goliaths that have grown into civilized areas rather than tribes, struggle with their inner instincts, as the life of a city is chaotic and often a call to do good or evil appears.
Lifespan
Goliaths live up to 100 years.

Reputation
Children of Giants is what many call them and many fear their anger. Mortals around the wildlands always say that they feel the eyes of the giants, looking down upon them, from the snowy peaks, judging their acts and deciding whether they should intervene or not. They are also known to be people of few words.
