Description
Before the Tabaxi race was created by Laia and Oromne, another race was designed but was left unfinished. The fusion of snake and human did not meet the requirements of the two fragments, but showed promising results in other field and was put on the shelf. Later on, two other gods took it from the shelf and sculpted it in its final form. Yuan-Ti, the snakefolk were came to be in the lands of Arda. With four gods involved in their design, their forms were not as uniform as the other races. Some of them featured a snake head, others were half snake half human, while other were a large snake with human arms. Fangs, forked tongue and snake eyes are the common characteristics between them. They are tricky, manipulative people that care about themselves and their family only. Empathy is a largely unknown concept to them and they are quick to betray if it suits them. The phrase "your words are poison" came from interaction with Yuan Ti, as their mouth was literally and metaphorically spouting poison. Dominaria blessed them with magic resistance as she expected them to be in all sorts of trouble with the other races. There is an instinctual hatred between them and Tabaxi as their animal genetics make them destined enemies. Yuan-Ti are known to suffer in cold places, more than any other race.

Yuan Ti were influenced by Laia and Oromne but were ultimately created by Dominaria and Zeriax.
Genetics
Yuan-Ti being had strong feeling of self/family preservation at any cost, feel that lying and manipulation is the natural way of life and feel almost no empathy for those outside their family.
Lifespan
Yuan Ti can live up to 150 years.

Yuan Ti are known to be agents of chaos. Wherever a Yuan Ti is spotted, a tragedy is expected to be uncovered sooner or later. Some folk believe they are related to Hags, giving who deceitful they are.

Yuan-ti Traits
As a yuan-ti, you have the following racial traits.
Ability Scores: Increase your Charisma by 1.
Creature Type: You are a Humanoid.
Size: You are Medium or Small. You choose the size when you select this race.
Speed: Your walking speed is 30 feet (or 25 if you're Small).
Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.
Magic Resistance: You have advantage on saving throws against spells.
Poison Resilience: You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the poisoned condition on yourself. You also have resistance to poison damage.
Serpentine Spellcasting: You know the poison spray cantrip. You can cast animal friendship an unlimited number of times with this trait, but you can target only snakes with it. Starting at 3rd level, you can also cast suggestion with this trait. Once you cast it, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast it using any spell slots you have of 2nd level or higher.
Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
