As seen with various Dragons, the diverse traits and territories associated with each breed further color the legendary history of these majestic rulers. Each breed's unique characteristics reflect their profound connection to Arda’s varied landscapes and their complex moral alignments. Arda gave birth to 10 pairs of dragons, which became known as Dragonlords. Those 20 dragons surpassed in power every other dragon that came to be, no offspring or descendant of theirs could surpass their might as they were the closest they could be, to the fragment that gave birth to them. Each subsequent generation of dragons was weaker than the previous one, as they were getting further and further apart from their creator's blood.
After the The Great Dragon Hunts and their withdrawal from the active societies, the names of the Dragonlords were forgotten. In the following era, only historians with access to important libraries came across their names (player characters with History bonus of +10 or higher, have a chance of knowing Dragonlord names). Legend says that due to their names being long forgotten, when uttered again, the Dragonlord will hear it.
