Overview

I’m Caeda Strifemaiden, a Shadar-Kai who follows Inatia. I don’t fully understand why she chose me, but I know what must be done: the cycle of death has fractured, and I will see it mended, no matter the cost. I’ve seen too many cling to life past their time, and too many stolen from it unjustly. This is not balance. This is a perversion.

My early memories are unclear, like fragments of dreams. I don’t remember much, but the name Elanor has some sort of meaning. People like Thalor, Liora, and Elara were once important to me, but now they feel distant, like pieces of a forgotten story.

Becoming an Illrigger  changed me. I became faster, more charming, and agile. These new strengths have shaped my journey since then.

Defining Events

Losing my memories was a big turning point, but the powers I gained from becoming an Illrigger gave me a sense of direction. I started exploring new places and solving mysteries, hoping to figure out who I am and where I fit in this world.

At some point, I had a vision that I needed to follow Inatia, but her presence is still a mystery to me. I feel like my past and future are both pulling me forward, even if I don’t fully understand the path.

Caeda was part of the group that felled the mighty Sceptrekarn.

Took part in investigating the Devourer's incursion in the north of Unified Caldar.

Short-term, I seek to unearth the hidden fragments of my past, piecing together the mystery of my identity and the force, possibly Inatia, guiding me. Long-term, my burning ambition is to uncover the truth behind the enigmatic voice that calls to me and understand why she chose me as her vessel. This quest for answers propels me forward, step by step, as I seek to decipher the ancient prophecies and unravel the mysteries of the Illriggers, ultimately reclaiming the lost fragments of my own identity. In a world at peace, my heart would yearn to rebuild bridges with the Blight Elf kin, mending ancestral rifts.

Caeda was killed outside Oberbell, battling the Woodland Widow Stage 3

Relationships

Caelum and Lyria are no longer at my side, but their impact remains. Caelum, a fellow Illrigger, shared my desire for meaning and taught me to temper judgment with observation. Lyria led me to Inatia’s light. I owe her more than I remember.

Others have come and gone. Marina, loyal and kind, is dead. Her absence is a quiet wound I do not speak of. Dunnage, once a comrade, betrayed us. He is gone, but the memory lingers.

Leokas offers calm where I cannot. River charges into battle at my side, reckless and brave, and I trust him more than I admit. Lyra and Kalendor, mages of power and focus, have pulled me from the edge more than once. I would kill for them... like... a lot of killing.

Flaws

I have little tolerance for those who mock Inatia or defy her teachings. Though I do not harm the innocent, I have come dangerously close when anger clouds my judgment. I struggle to show restraint when I feel her name is defiled.
