Found and rescued as an orphaned infant from a freshly raided border town. Arn was raised by Bjorn, leader of the Broken Chains Free Company Militia. Though he took well to the mercenary life and loved his parents, he yearned for something more. He was tired of scouring the wilds of bandits, risking life and limb for coin. His only solace was when they would visit towns to rearm and reprovision. Envious of those who would sleep in soft beds, eat delicious meals and drink fine brews, he realized that there was more to life than hard tack and ranging. After buying his way out the Free Company Militia, Arn tried his hand at a dozen trades. Each time he failed, either due to his brusk nature or his lack of finesse. Till he finally landed a job as a hall boy at the local inn. Things went well for the young man for a while, life was comfortable and stable. Then he met a Tiefling by the name of Mira. Perhaps it was her tales of the distant land of Tal'Erj, or feeling that he had known her way longer than he actually did, he soon found himself spending all his free time with her. They were soon inseparable and unfortunately for Arn she had ties to the Blades of Horus. One thing lead to another and the headman's son ends up dead by Arns hands. He then flees to Tal'Erj, where he now works as a mercenary.
Just a simple mercenary looking for a big pay day so he could retire and enjoy the civilian life.
