1. Notes

Ravager

Under a hail of arrows and spears, the muscle-bound freak charges with surprising grace. Each step, leap-like, crushes cobblestone with alarming ease. One cannot ignore his presence. Barely dodging a blow to the flank, he greets the new threat with a glance and a snarl. “You should stay put”, he commands, a monstrous growl in his voice. With a pained grunt, he grips the haft of his axe, his arms now grotesque and hulking. He smiles and readies his first strike. Rarely did he need a second one

Power Die

The Power Surge Die is tied to many of the Ravager’s abilities. You gain more uses as you go up in levels. Your Power Surges are refunded when you take damage from a hostile source.

Ravager’s Difficulty Level (DL)

Some of your abilities will refer to your Ravager DL. It is equal to 4 + level + Strength

(1) Freakish Nature

  1  Freakish Nature

PASSIVE

- Before rolling to attack, you can decide to use the lower roll for the Attack Total, and the higher one for the degree of Success (damage).
- Increase your starting Health by 4 for Torso and Limbs.

Ravagers make the most out of their aberrant physiology. When exerting strength, their muscle mass expands uncontrollably, precluding the use of armors, shields and all but the loosest of clothes. As a result, the first trick they learn is to alter their skin into monstrous, thick hides, as horrible to look at as they are hard to pierce.

(1) Power Surge

  1  Power Surge

BOLD ACTION | 1d4 FOG

You can only use Power Surge while not wearing armor or wielding a shield.

Once per round, you can use Power Surge before making a weapon attack. If you hit on your attack, you can roll your Power Surge die or dice and add the result to your Damage Total. You cannot use Power Surge again until an enemy hits you.

Ravagers are known to subconsciously suppress their full might, under pain of self-destruction. Constantly teetering on the edge, they learn to briefly tap into unsustainable levels of strength to deliver a single, devastating blow.

(2) Frenzy

  2  Frenzy

BOLD ACTION | 1d6 FOG

During your turn, target an enemy in melee range. Until the end of combat or until it dies, any time it attacks you, you can choose to get hit and attack it simultaneously at no action cost. Only one enemy at a time can be the affected by your Frenzy.

They threw themselves at our spears just so they wouldn't miss. Our numbers left them unfazed and every time we stabbed, we lost a man.

(4) Meat Shield

  4  Meat Shield

BOLD ACTION | 1d8 FOG

You can use Meat Shield when you become the target of an attack or Projectile Spell. As a Bold Action, you attempt to grab an enemy in melee range your size or smaller, and drag it to your space. If you succeed, they replace you as the attack or spell's target. Once the attack is resolved, you can eiter swap places with the creature or shunt it back where it was.

[...] And he said “How do I defend? With someone else, obviously!” Well, I keep my distances now.

(6) Rampage

  6  Rampage

BOLD ACTION | 1d10 FOG

Leap up to 4 paces towards an enemy and make a melee attack. If the attack hits, you can immediately perform an attack at no Action cost against two different targets in range, each made with disadvantage.

Rampage's movement comes on top of your base movement for the round.
