Queen Elaine is the second daughter of Duke Gorlois and Queen Ygraine.

A young woman, less pretty than Margawse and less clever than Morgan.

In 492 she was married to King Nentres of Garloth.

After his death in 512 she rules Garloth as a vassal of her half-brother King Arthur.
