The dwarf who recruited the party for help in exploring the Wave Echo Cave. Was kidnapped by "The Black Spider" before the party had the chance to learn more. Sildar has recruited the party to find him. Supposedly being kept at Cragmaw Castle, the location of which is was at first unknown to the party.
The party did however manage to track him down, and rescued him from the hands of Grol who attempted to sell him to the Black Spider. Eventually joined the party as they ventured towards Wave Echo Cave, but remained outside when they discovered his brothers corpse in the opening. Promised the party a cut of the profits from the cave if they helped clear it out.
When the party was successful, Gundren, now without his brothers set out to reestablish the forge to make a good profit, and succeeded, sending the party a payment at one point, but haven't been heard from in a while...
