What follows is a snippet of what is illegal or compulsory in theEmpire of Moroxia(In addition to the regular prohibitions on murder, assault, burglary etc.)
Country wide:
- Enchantment magic is in general forbidden to be used to influence the actions of unwilling creatures. (fine upwards to 1000gp and/or imprisonment up to 1 year)
- Divination magic used to discern thoughts, locations or specific persons are generally forbidden, due to the invasion of privacy. Certain exceptions are given in rare circumstances.
- Necromancy is generally frowned upon, and resurrection magic is only really forbidden if used to resurrect an executed criminal. Due to the rarity of clerics, this isn't really that big of a problem.
- Any pet or familiar that can be considered dangerous has to be registered when entering any major settlement in case of mishaps.
- Any sufficiently powerful enough (adventurers) must present themselves to the local authorities and make their presence known when entering a city.
- Using evocation magic during war is considered a warcrime.
- Using enlarge on merchandise may be considered false advertising.
- The use of magical drugs is strictly prohibited.
Region Specific:
- Dwarven societies explicitly forbids the use of resurrection magic. No diamonds are sold in Khuzunzan to avoid this.
