After Malice's death, Lady Ar'alani had her bond broken, and when the party defeated her in one of the towers of Whitewall castle, she had a moment of lucidity, begging to be released. Penny used a wish to release the Death Knight from her bonds, causing her soul to be freed, which Kal then immediately resurrected, bringing back Halá once more. She then joined the party as they escaped the city that was under siege from the drow forces.
