After being hunted along with it's mother by The Band of Tempervale, the owlbear survived the attack its mother didn't. Wandering the woods with a couple of arrows still lodged in its side, it wanted to be left alone with its pain. The party managed to calm him down and remove the arrows that had grown into his ribcave, saving him from agony. He then joined the party on the journey towards the Grove of Eternal Whispers.
