Abyssal Artifacts

The Infernal Elements are a collection of demonic runestones that form the elemental fabric of the Plane of Khaos. Fashioned into powerful artifacts like the Onyx Crown and Blood-Bound Armor, these runestones embody the very sins they represent within the Realm of Chaos. These artifacts have the power to shape entire realms and influence all manner of Demons that inhabit them. Historically, the Infernal Elements have incited epochs of bloody wars and infighting among the demon tribes of the infernal realms.

Recognizing their immense power and the potential for catastrophe, Asmodeus took it upon himself to scatter these elements across The Nine Hells and the Realm of Chaos. His aim was to prevent anyone from combining them to form the 'Infernal Eye,' an artifact of unimaginable power said to have the ability to see into and open rifts between alternate planes of existence. Despite these precautions, Balthazar the Blighted embarked on a dark quest to collect these elements, intending to enact the dreaded Infernal Eye ritual.

Destruction of The Infernal Elements

The Crucible

The Infernal Elements met their apparent end when combined to form the Infernal Eye during the cataclysmic event known as The Fires of Fate. Following the defeat of Balthazar the Blighted, the Infernal Eye seemed to disintegrate, its immense power dissipating in a burst of chaotic energy. However, scholars and sages of the arcane believe that the Elements were not truly destroyed but rather scattered into cosmic dust. Due to their elemental importance to the Plane of Khaos, it is rumored that these particles will reconstitute into their original forms after thousands of years.

The reconstitution of the Infernal Elements comes with a dire warning: any who dare to retrieve them again must brave the gaze of Unknown, the eldritch god sealed away in the Realm of Chaos. The god's terrifying screech, which once ruptured the entire realm and initiated a chain of cataclysmic events, serves as a haunting reminder of the unimaginable power and danger that lies in attempting to harness the Infernal Elements once more.
