Well beneath the exhaust tents of the Earth Genie Tribe resides the sprawling metal-crafted city of Underland which serves as the relocated homeland of the Dao, or Earth Genie as they are locally known. Constructed of precious metals sourced from the Underhollow, the noble earth genie mined the earth to earn abundant riches. This success was not without strife, however, as the early Dao were forcibly transported to the material plane from their native Plane of Gaian. Through a chaos-borne rift, the Dao fell to the material plane and wandered for centuries before Ophal struck a bargain with Avatar Umber, allowing the noble earth genie sovereignty over the under-land whilst the Earth Kingdom presided over the top-land. Ever since this bargain, few have ever dared venture to the furthest recesses of the Underland city where story of the Daos twisted magic became the content of hand wives tales in the city of Avalon. In reality, the city of Underland was a prospering subterranean city which thrived from the extraction of valuable ores and minerals, with the exhaust from extensive mining operations flowing freely through the hide tent chimneys which make up the Earth Genie Tribe. Protecting the underland city are the Steel Sentinels, metal-forged constructs which ignite with the light of molten earth and tower tens of feet tall - built in the ancestral smiths of the noble Dao.
