Centuries later, fate intervened in a most unexpected manner. The sunken remains of Captain Moreau's frigate, resting amidst the shipwrecked seabed known as Ship's End, were stumbled upon by Brick, a surface-dwelling necromancer known for his unorthodox magical pursuits. Drawn to the sunken treasure and relics, Brick used his ill-understood magic to reanimate the long-deceased captain and his loyal crew.
Captain Otto Moreau, once a fearless explorer, found himself reborn in a world utterly alien to him—a world transformed by the passage of time. His frigate now lay broken and lifeless among the wrecks of bygone eras, and the seas he knew had become a realm of shadows and uncertainty. Haunted by the memory of his tragic end and bewildered by the passage of centuries, Captain Moreau grapples with a new existence in a world that has moved on without him. His rebirth was short-lived, however, as Captain Moreau, along with his crew, were soon crushed to dust by a rampaging Unknown within Ship's End.
