Drozara Emberbraid is a fiery Dwarf and one of the most dedicated beastologists across the planes. Known for her blunt demeanor, unrelenting curiosity, and cursed fiery skin, she has become a vital member of the Talons of the Timeless Tome, documenting creatures across the planes. Drozara’s life is as wild and untamed as the creatures she studies, marked by tragedy, transformation, and an unyielding resolve to uncover the mysteries of the natural world.

Early Life in the Faewyld
Drozara’s story begins in the Faewyld, where she was abandoned as a child and raised by a sounder of wild boars. She grew up learning their ways, her early years defined by primal instincts and a deep respect for the creatures that took her in. The boars taught her survival, strength, and the importance of family—even in their untamed form.
Her peaceful, if feral, existence was shattered during the Conjunction of the Realms, which tore her from the Faewyld and cast her into the Prime Plane. Landing in the Unknown, Drozara wandered the treacherous wilderness for years, fending off predators and scavenging to survive.
The Curse of Ren-Li
Her life took a darker turn when she encountered Ren-Li, a cunning Leonin merchant and warlock who offered her a deal. Ren-Li promised her the ability to "bond with the beasts" she revered, claiming it would give her the strength to understand and connect with them. Desperate for companionship and driven by her love of the natural world, Drozara agreed.
The deal, however, was a cruel trick. Ren-Li cursed her, transforming her into the fiery-skinned, hot-tempered dwarf she is now, and burdening her with a curse of lycanthropy. Under the light of the full moon, she transforms into a devilish, boar-like creature driven by rage and bloodlust—a dark parody of her childhood kin.
The curse also imbued her with unnatural strength and resilience, but at the cost of her peace of mind. To this day, she struggles to control the beast within, resenting both Ren-Li and the part of herself that gave in to his deal.
Finding Purpose in the Archives of Empyrean
Years later, Drozara’s life changed again when she caught the attention of Argus, a Talon-Seeker from Unknown. Argus saw her potential, her knowledge of creatures, and her fiery determination, and offered her a place among the scholars of the Archives.
For the first time in years, Drozara found purpose and companionship. Under Argus’s mentorship, she honed her skills, learning to document and catalog the beasts of the multiverse. She now resides in the Archives, where she actively writes "The Chronicles of Creatures (2nd Edition)", an expansion of infamous bestiary named "The Chronicle of Creatures (1st Edition)" by Valdis Beastweaver.
Burrowin' Bess
Drozara’s travels through the Unknown were made infinitely easier by her taming of a Bulette, affectionately named Burrowin’ Bess. The massive, armored beast serves as both mount and companion, capable of tunneling through even the most treacherous terrain.
“Bess is a stubborn lass, but no more than meself,” Drozara often says. “She’s saved me hide more times than I can count—and she’ll save it again, no doubt.”
Legacy
Drozara’s work in the Chronicles of Creatures (Second Edition) has already earned her a place among the most respected beastologists of the multiverse. Despite her curse, or perhaps because of it, she has embraced the wildness within herself and turned it into a force for understanding the natural world.
From taming beasts to documenting the untamed, Drozara Emberbraid is a figure of fierce determination, a bridge between the wilds and the scholars who seek to understand them.
