In the Y’azi Empire, the Rifts are viewed with solemn reverence and fear, reminders of what occurs when balance is forsaken. The Vanir and other Elven civilizations regard them as bitter scars left by their ancestors' betrayal during The Riftfire Rebellion, a warning against future hubris.

The mere existence of a Khaos Rift spells doom for nearby civilizations. As its influence spreads, reality frays and sanity crumbles. Prolonged exposure leads to irreversible mutations and madness among the living, twisting noble hearts into corrupted husks.
