Raygar grew up, the only boy in a family full of women and he followed his sister in their martial path becoming an honorary member of the Sisters of the Thorn. At times you'll hear him say, "I fight with the Sisters," to justify why he is a ranger, to which other members of the order will reply, "Yes he does" as they laugh at their running joke.
