Teku Benga

Teku Benga is a sprawling, ancient temple-fortress carved into the jagged peaks in the Valley of desolation, it serves as a literal "thin spot" in the fabric of reality where multiple time streams converge.

Architecturally, it is a dizzying nightmare of gravity-defying pagodas, serpent-headed finials, and grinning demonic sculptures. The air here is thick with a "barnyard stench" and a sense of profound wrongness. It is less a place of worship and more a cosmic anchor, housing a shifting labyrinth of subterranean caves that pulse with temporal energy. To the uninitiated, it is the stronghold of a warlord; to the traveler, it is the gateway to every "elsewhen."

The Secret of the Temple: Teku Benga is not just a building; it is a fixed point in the Multiverse and one that held artifacts that previously anchored the reality of The Party to all the other realities while maintaining a respectful distance between them. Sure, one could travel the labyrinthine tunnels  beneath the temple and find oneself in the Himalayas within the hidden state of Kumbalari where the locals call Teku Benga the Temple of the Future Buddha, and sure that's weird. The story of the breaking of the anchor by Attia, Calliope's sister is told in Calliope's Backstory (Act I)
