Midgard introduces several new elements to 5e as well as changing some established traditions. Some of the following modifications are replacements or additions for characters, in the style of Tasha's Guide and past Unearthed Arcana. Others have been modified to fit the theme and lore of Midgard.
Fighter Archetype: Rune Knight - Addition
Rune Carver 3rd-level Rune Knight feature
You can use magic runes to enhance your gear. You learn two runes of your choice, from among the runes described below and those listed in the Midgard Heroes Handbook. Each time you gain a level in this class, you can replace one rune you know with a different one from this feature. When you reach certain levels in this class, you learn additional runes, as shown in the Runes Known table. Effects or restrictions on Runes in the Midgard Heroes Handbook take priority over those of the PHB.
