Citrine of Ley Restoration

Swirls of shadow and light constantly shift below the surface of this citrine obelisk; compelling evidence of the eldritch magic used to create it.

A Citrine of Ley Restoration commonly measures four inches wide at the base and rises almost three feet into the air. Contained within the crystal is a complete ritualized casting of the eldritch spell Ley Restoration. The secrets of their construction are known only to Elves from the Summer Lands, and cautiously guarded.

  • Any creature holding an obelisk may cast the Ley Illumination spell at will, with the effect centered on the obelisk instead of the activating creature.
  • When placed in contact with the ground and activated via command word an obelisk begins a controlled release of energy to anchor a nearby looping, diverted, congested, or burned out ley line. It takes one full hour of undisturbed ground-obelisk-ley interaction to restore a corrupted line. An activated citrine continuously highlights nearby ley lines as per the Ley Illumination spell, centered on the citrine itself. A single obelisk can restore a weak ley line. Two obelisks are required for a strong ley line. Four obelisks are required to restore a titanic ley line or shadow road. Obelisks are consumed during ley restoration and crumble to dust when realignment is complete.
