The Bargemasters Guild, or officially,The Guild of Pilots and Masters, is a powerful and influential guild responsible for all waterborne trade and transport within the city. The Bargemasters, led by the ruthless Jan Schreuder, have a stranglehold on the waterways of Seregon.
With more than thirty barges under his control and an army of enforcers at his command, Master Jan dominates both the legal and illegal activities on the water. The Seregon Bourse serves as their unofficial headquarters, where deals are made, rivalries are settled, and power is brokered. While they often clash with other criminal organizations like the Seven Sins, the Bargemasters maintain control over all illicit activities on the water, occasionally cooperating with other groups when it suits their interests.
The Seven Sins have "standards," according to Mandrill. They won't engage in drugs, slavery, or piracy. That's where the Bargemasters step in.
Sapphire Canoes is the Seven Sins fingerhold on the waterways. The Seven Sins and Bargemasters have fought small wars over the blue canoes, but for now at least, they are sacrosanct on the waterways.
