Ras Nsi

Chosen of Krang

Ras Nsi – Chosen of Krang, Serpentfolk Necromancer

Ras Nsi is an ancient serpentfolk warlord and necromancer from the fallen SsathalanThe Empire of the Coiled Throne, a civilization of serpentfolk that once ruled the world before their downfall at the hands of humans and elves. Once a devout follower of the serpent god Set, Ras Nsi, like many serpentmen, felt abandoned by his deity when the empire crumbled. Betrayed and disillusioned, he turned to darker, more forbidden powers—the Great Old Ones, specifically the slumbering entity known as Krang. Ras Nsi believes that by awakening Krang, the world will be plunged into chaos, allowing the serpentfolk to reclaim their rightful dominance over all lesser races.

As the Chosen of Krang, Ras Nsi has been granted immortality, his life force sustained by his unwavering devotion to the dark god. This makes him nearly impossible to kill by conventional means, as long as he continues his efforts to wake Krang from its aeons-long sleep. His powers over necromancy are immense, allowing him to animate the dead at will, summoning vast legions of undead warriors who bear his mark: a blue triangle branded onto their foreheads. These mindless hordes follow his commands without question, marching across the land as extensions of Ras Nsi’s will.

Ras Nsi’s ambitions have spread far beyond mere conquest. He seeks to bring about the destruction of the world, reclaiming it from the races he despises—humans, elves, and others who dare to rule where the serpentfolk once reigned supreme. His devotion to Krang has granted him not only powers over death but also access to ancient arcane secrets lost to the ages. His mastery of necromancy is second to none, and the undead rise to his call like an unstoppable tide.

Ras Nsi’s ruthlessness knows no bounds. He is believed to have stolen the egg of the copper dragon Codinth, an act of great provocation that sent the once-peaceful dragon into seclusion for decades. Ras Nsi likely did this not for personal gain, but as a calculated move to destabilize his enemies and shift the balance of power. Codinth’s self-imposed isolation has only recently been disturbed, a sign that the dragon may soon re-emerge into the world—possibly seeking revenge against Ras Nsi and those allied with him.
