Yog Sothoth and the Lords of Hell

The Nine Lords of Hell convene in Asmodeus’s court in the lowest layer of Hell. The chamber, a cavernous expanse of black stone and infernal flames, flickers under the distorted light as an otherworldly presence begins to seep in, unseen but sensed. Yog-Sothoth, the Elder God, has arrived, his presence an invisible pressure that weighs down upon the court, twisting reality and flooding the minds of those within with chaotic visions.

Lesser devils collapse or flee, some shrieking as their minds crack under the pressure, while a few writhe in the flames, succumbing to sudden madness. Asmodeus stands unfazed, though the lesser dukes falter before steeling themselves, as each begins to address the matter at hand.

Asmodeus: [His voice smooth as oiled steel, unfazed by the horrors whispering in his court]
"Yog Sothoth, I offer you welcome, though you may find little need for courtesy. The Ziggurat of Yibb-Tstll... impressive, but your interference with Hell’s energy demands explanation. We are, after all, exacting in our permissions."

Yog Sothoth: [A deep, incomprehensible hum emanates, vibrating through space itself as Yog Sothoth’s words twist into existence]
"The great expanse stirs. Planet Phoor's transformation demands balance, a delicate equilibrium maintained through the power of realms both beyond and below."

Bel, Lord of the First: [Seething]
"And you chose our power? I did not ascend the flames to be siphoned off by a creature of madness. Our domain is not some celestial engine for your designs, Elder."

Yog Sothoth:
"An arrangement that benefits both. The energies of Hell shall blend with the foundations of Phoor, weaving its destiny into the dark tapestry of the cosmos. Your flames become the sinew of worlds."

Dispater, The Iron Duke: [The words grating from his clenched jaw]
"We do not serve willingly. This siphon disrupts more than you may understand. Each drop of power taken without permission disrupts the layers of the Inferno. You, of all beings, should know better than to tamper with systems."

Mammon, Lord of Greed: [His gold-tinged voice an irritated hiss]
"Phoor is of no concern to Hell. Our essence must profit only us. Why should Hell’s might serve your whims and lend itself to a distant project of cosmic vanity?"

Yog Sothoth: [The voice in their minds unfurls images of star systems drifting to alignment, primal energies mixing with infernal flame, forming Phoor into a powerful node of cosmic influence]
"Your energies do not serve; they integrate into purpose. Would the Lords of Hell prefer a universe in which its darker planes are absent from the weave? Hell’s influence—subtle, eternal—is the foundation of Phoor’s essence."

Fierna, Lady of Pleasure: [Laughs, but it’s brittle, her gaze narrowed]
"It seems you forget your place, Yog Sothoth. Infernal might is not a currency for cosmic indulgences. Give us reason to entertain your whims, or this interference ends today."

Belial, Archduke of Pain: [Her father’s growling voice picks up]
"Your ‘integration’ is a flaw, a breach. Even a being of chaos should recognize that Hell’s order is absolute."

Yog Sothoth: [Vaguely amused]
"Order… chaos… both cling to such definitions in your realm. In the weave of Phoor, Hell’s tendrils will grow, seeding infernal influence from within. No power lost; all redirected to a purpose beyond mortal reckoning."

Levistus, Prince of Stygia: [His cold voice dripping with scorn]
"We’re thrilled by your cosmic pretensions. But Hell demands restitution. No claims made on our might without fair terms. But perhaps you could… alleviate a problem we’ve had with certain meddling pests."

Glasya, The Archduchess: [Eyes flickering with interest]
"Indeed. The Rakshasa—fiendish enough but a complete destabilizing force. They infiltrate, spy, whisper, undermine. They disrupt the structure, serving themselves while exploiting the powers we allow them. Remove all rakshasas from Hell’s reaches, and I see no reason to deny your siphon."

Yog Sothoth:
"A race of infernal interlopers… How many?"

Baalzebul, The Slug Archduke: [Voice oozing with loathing]
"An entire race, ancient as they are troublesome. Enough to be useful to a being like yourself, no doubt. They observe no loyalty, connive like mad, and wander freely. Their efforts are incompatible with our plans, but in your purposes, they might be… diverted."

Mephistopheles, Archduke of Cania: [Smiling darkly]
"In their native form, they are a potent influence. Here, they are chaos. They spy upon us, interfere with our schemes, and connive their way up the hierarchy. Send them elsewhere, and they may even flourish under your distant gaze."

Yog Sothoth: [After a prolonged silence, in which the court feels the unyielding vastness of his stare]
"An entire race? So be it. The rakshasa shall take their place on Phoor, freed from the Hells. I care little for the critters upon the surface, so long as they do not interfere with the ziggurats and the serpentmen’s work."

Gargauth, the Tenth Lord of Hell: [His oily voice dripping with skepticism]
"They may cause havoc for you on Phoor as they do here. The rakshasas, Elder One, are driven by no loyalty but to their own cunning. Should they disrupt your grand projects, they will only laugh, claiming it a triumph of their own will over yours."

Yog Sothoth: [With a faintly dismissive tone]
"The machinations of such small beings concern me as much as the insects of Moog’s jungles. Their interference shall mean nothing to me—if they disrupt the ziggurats, I shall see them snuffed out as mere candle flames."

Asmodeus: [Calmly, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth]
"It appears an agreement can be reached. The rakshasa, upon Phoor, will be contained by this condition. Your portals to the Hells may remain open, provided the rakshasa do not return or interfere with the structures you so value. We are agreed, Yog Sothoth?"

Yog Sothoth: [A shifting, all-encompassing resonance]
"Agreed. The rakshasa shall be set upon Phoor, and your energies shall flow unobstructed, feeding the project to its completion."

The presence of Yog Sothoth begins to dissipate, leaving the Hellish court in uneasy silence as reality settles and the grip of alien madness recedes.

Asmodeus: [To the court, his voice echoing with calculated satisfaction]
"See to it that every rakshasa departs Hell with… enthusiasm. We have, after all, promised them their paradise anew."
