Scholar's Jungle Hut
4th-level Conjuration
Casting Time: 10 minutes
Range: 30 feet
Components: V, S, M (a polished stone and a sprig of mistletoe)
Duration: Permanent
Description:
You conjure a sturdy, 20-foot-diameter hut crafted from stone, wood, and natural materials, seamlessly blending into its surroundings. The hut is designed to serve as a safe haven for explorers, scholars, and adventurers in remote or hazardous environments.
Features of the Hut:
Interior Design:
- The interior is well-furnished with six cots, two desks, two tables, and various shelves. The furniture is crafted from wood and stone, giving the hut a rustic yet functional appearance.
- The center of the room contains the outline of a permanent Teleportation Circle, inscribed in chalk, ink, and embedded gems. It awaits the casting of the Teleportation Circle spell to become fully functional.
Water Supply:
- Two 10-gallon casks of clean water are integrated into the hut. These casks refill daily via the Create Water spell.
Unseen Servant:
- The hut contains an Unseen Servant, bound to the space. The servant can perform basic tasks such as cleaning, fetching items, or maintaining the interior. It cannot leave the hut.
Durability:
- The hut has an AC of 15 and 50 hit points. If destroyed, the hut crumbles into inert natural materials and disappears.
- The hut is immune to damage from nonmagical fire, water, or acid but can be dismantled with tools or magic.
Magic Resistance:
- The hut resists magical tampering. Any spell that attempts to alter or dismantle the hut requires a DC 16 Intelligence (Arcana) check to succeed.
Natural Camouflage:
- The hut’s exterior blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment, making it difficult to detect from a distance. A creature attempting to spot the hut must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom (Perception) check.
At Higher Levels:
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the hut expands by an additional 5 feet in diameter for each slot level above 4th, and you can add one additional feature, such as a storage chest, a hearth, or an additional Unseen Servant.
Notes for Use:
This spell provides a safe and sustainable base of operations for adventurers in the wild. It allows for the preparation of a Teleportation Circle, access to fresh water, and the convenience of an Unseen Servant, making it an invaluable tool for long-term exploration and scholarly research.
