A deeper study of the scroll (DC 18 Intelligence (Investigation) or Dispel Magic) reveals a concealed passage written in crimson ink, describing a lost Rakshasan battle-rite known as Bloodlust Cloud.
"When the battlefield runs thick with the wounded, let the scent of their suffering drive their kin to madness. Only the strong shall stand when the red mist fades."
This incantation conjures a thick, crimson mist, awakening the savage hunger in the wounded, forcing those too weak to resist into a frenzied state of indiscriminate violence.
Additional Notes Within the Scroll:
- This spell was often used in Saudasa’s ceremonial executions, ensuring that his victims tore each other apart before he delivered the final blow.
- A sigil resembling a tiger’s claw clutching a crown marks the spell, the insignia of Saudasa’s personal sorcerers.
