To the faithful of Camp Dragon, Marij Lang is a rising star—graceful, youthful, and aflame with the passion of the Dawnbringer’s teachings. She is seen as a gift from Asura in troubled times, stepping into leadership after the previous high priest, Ambrosius, fell into illness. Though the elder cleric still resides within the temple’s walls, his strange ramblings and reclusive behavior have left many uncomfortable. In contrast, Marij’s energy and clarity have captured the hearts of the congregation.
Appearance:
Marij wears flowing robes of ivory and sun-gold, trimmed in copper thread that gleams like firelight. A circlet of braided bronze rests on her brow, bearing Asura’s symbol—an open hand engulfed in stylized flame. Her dark hair is always impeccably braided, coiled in the traditional style of dawnward clerics, and her piercing green eyes seem to reflect the torchlight from the ever-burning beacon above the temple. Around her neck rests a holy symbol of Asura—a polished disk of obsidian set with a ruby sunburst.
Demeanor:
She is composed and maternal in public, especially toward the townsfolk. To travelers and the Sentinels, she is inquisitive and gracious, often asking questions in the guise of interest, when in truth she’s quietly assessing their purpose and threat level. Her charisma and spiritual authority make her difficult to doubt—many trust her without question, believing her word to be Asura’s own.
