Miriel Vexx

A striking figure among the cult’s lower ranks, Miriel Vexx carries herself with an uncommon grace—like a songstress performing for an unseen audience. Tall and poised, she moves with the careful elegance of someone trained to be noticed, but never remembered too well.

Miriel has long black hair, usually woven into a tight braid that falls over one shoulder, threaded with thin red cords in the cult’s colors. Her eyes are a cool, discerning grey, always observing, calculating, flicking from face to face with silent interest. Her skin is pale, smooth, and untouched by the sun—a detail that stands out in a crowd of dust-worn acolytes.

She wears a well-maintained version of the cult’s robe: black and crimson with subtle silver embroidery along the sleeves and hem—less austere than most, and clearly tailored to fit. A small, obsidian pendant shaped like a closed eye rests at her collar, a sign of devotion to the god Krang... or perhaps just a fashionable token of piety.

Though she carries no obvious weapons, the slender hilt of a finely crafted rapier peeks out beneath her robe when she walks or turns sharply. It's sheathed at an angle more for elegance than readiness, but those with a trained eye might note the balanced way she wears it. A few slender vials—tonics, perhaps, or ceremonial oils—hang from her belt in discreet leather loops.

Her voice is soft, melodic, and unfailingly polite—whether she’s answering a question, correcting a clerical error, or gently defusing a tense moment between more fanatical cult members. She is known for her calm demeanor and sharp wit, often managing the inn’s ledgers and guest records with meticulous care.

She never raises her voice. She never seems flustered. And she always seems to know a little more than she should.
