📜 The Ruby Accord of the Eighth City
Contract of Infernal-Mercenary Procurement and Deployment
Filed Under Authority of the Black Ink Barony, Ninth Register, Lower Stratum
I. PARTIES TO CONTRACT
This legally binding agreement ("The Ruby Accord") is hereby enacted between the following entities:

Client: Malefica Sceleris, independent arcane contractor, resident of the Crimson Fang Mine (hereafter “the Principal”)

Agency: Seregon Advocacy Services, a subsidiary of the Eighth City Advocacy Services, acting through Drusilla Veyl, Esquire (hereafter “the Advocate”)

Mercenary Provider: Yugoloth Detachment 7-Zh, a licensed martial subdivision registered under the Pact of the Bound Claw and the Infernal Concord of Mercenary Enforcement (hereafter “the Provider”)
II. CONSIDERATION & COMPENSATION
The Advocate acknowledges receipt of fifty thousand (50,000) gold pieces, rendered in ruby gemstone equivalents, from the Principal. These funds constitute full and final payment for services rendered under this accord and are non-refundable under all planar jurisdictions recognized by the Eighth City Tribunal of Commerce and Binding.
III. SCOPE OF SERVICES
Per the agreement, the Provider shall deliver the following services to the Principal for the duration of the operation known as Project Ruby Coil, defined as the defense and preservation of the Crimson Fang Mine and associated arcane holdings:
Assigned Forces:

One (1) Canoloth, stationed at the mine’s primary ingress point

Two (2) Mezzoloths, assigned to guard the inner sanctum and Principal’s ritual chamber

One (1) Nycaloth Assault Squadron, held in planar stasis and available for emergency deployment
Additional Terms:
-
Mercenary forces are obligated to defend the Principal’s holdings, provide battlefield enforcement, and interdict hostile incursion during contract period.

Provider may refuse engagement in the event that the Principal becomes legally voided, possessed, or aligned with a celestial or "good" aligned sovereign power, as defined by the Eighth City Codex of Ethics.
IV. ENFORCEMENT CLAUSE
Should any party attempt to interfere with, void, or violate the terms of this agreement, including through magical, divine, or extraplanar interference, the following clause shall activate:

The Provider shall be authorized to use full retaliatory force, including but not limited to planar abduction, contractual soul seizure, and targeted retribution against the offending party or parties.

This clause is registered under the Blood Quill Writ, Section 13, Subsection 6 — “Breach by Proxy.”
V. SUMMONING PROVISION
The contract includes a Summoning Scroll (Arcane Sigil: Gold-Stamped, Void-Scented Parchment, Level 5 Conjuration):
Effect: When burned, this scroll calls forth 1d4 Mezzoloths.
Duration: 1 hour
Obedience Clause: Nycaloths obey the bearer of the contract, as long as bearer is not a celestial, divine servant, or registered agent of the Celestial Concord.
Limitation: Use of scroll voids all future claims to reimbursement or additional aid under this contract.

VI. VOID CLAUSES & EXCLUSIONS
This contract is immediately null and void under the following conditions:

The bearer is revealed to be a celestial, angelic entity, or divine proxy

The summoning scroll is used to oppose the interests of the Eighth City
-
The Principal becomes undead of incorporeal nature and fails to file a revised soul-assignment affidavit
VII. CERTIFICATION & SEAL
Signed and witnessed in the Circle of Charred Vellum, Fifth Ring of the Eighth City, on the 2nd Day of Ashfall, Year 6,690 of the Concordant Count.
