The tale of Athens and Sparta is as old as anyone can remember. The most powerful city states, with wide spread influence, their prestigious heritage dating back to the mythic era, they have persevered in modern times. Amongst the first Hellenic states, they are some of the few that have managed to succeed through history, even if their approaches are quite different.

Across the second cities, Rome, Carthage and Alexandria represent the most powerful cities to rise in the aftermath of Greek expansion. Pledging their fealty to different gods, they have asserted their position in recent times, rivaling any city state from the first cities.

With ever shifting alliances, the mortal wars and conflicts only occur with the support or tolerance of the Olympians. Demigods are the cornerstone of this system, as they rule and hold all the leverages of power. Be it great rulers, generals or craftsmen, each powerful state boats many half-bloods, enforcing it's desires onto others.

What is makes a god has been debated since forever. The only thing scholars can agree to is that there are two aspects that defined a god: immortality and glory.

Sitting at the top are the Olympians, the most powerful and active gods. The rarely agree on anything and often cause conflicts that quickly turn into full fledged wars. Other than them, there exist a large amount of deities, that are just as split as the residents of mount Olympus. The only time all of them united was during the cataclysm that shattered the world.

An intricate system of temples and priests worship these beings, in exchange for favors and blessings. From their ranks the Demigods are born - humans with divine potential. Each entity is mythically connected to their offspring, and many claim their children once they're impressed by their achievements, further elevating them.
