Temperamental, proud and vengeful - these describe the god of the sea. The patron of sailors, horses and those who rely upon them, he is one of the most powerful Olympians and doesn't tolerate any insults to his authority. Less chaotic than Ares but more rash than Athena few dare to challenge him.
His desires are many and he isn't know for his restraint. He takes a lot of pride and care in his children, but makes sure that they are all able to fend for themselves. No one travels the seas without offering a prayer to him, even pirates make regular sacrifices in his honor.
He is the only one who can save ships out in the Sea of Monsters.
