Havbåren
Perhaps the most unusual of the Elves, the Havbåren were the first of the Førstavoss to take to the seas. In fact, it is believed that they where the first civilization on Terra Continenti to become seafaring. As a peaceful nomadic group moving up and down the coast, they were orginally indistinguishable from Førstavoss in appearance but decades of isolation lead to evolutionary divergent features.
The Havbåren would begin to change at an increased pace. They developed stronger upper bodies, a better sense of balance in rough seas, and, unusually for Elves, began to grow facial hair. In addition, although occurring much later in their development, the Havbåren developed a much deeper skin tone, ranging from russet to bistre, depending on the climate they are in.
A large portion of the Havbåren would simply vanish at sea in the early rise of the Gnoman Empire and it was those on land who would continue the species. With first the Gnoman reticence to invest in naval power, and the subsequent ban on long distance sea travel by the Papacy, Havbåren have lost their identity as children of the sea, and are now just as common inland as on the coast.
