The show must go on

November 26, 2020

After listening to Jak's epically long poem and having time to all freshen up the group reconvene in the private room at the back of the establishment to have some food.
Sirona has had some alcohol given to her as a thank you by some workers she healed. She is slightly intoxicated and talking about random thing together with Jak, who asks for her opinion on the poem. They are having a good laugh until Jak orders in punch for the table, and Irdien comments that they are here to discuss the plan and not to get drunk. The group start spitballing ideas on how to free Vincent, but without any real information about his whereabouts, the plans are full of holes and revolve around creating distractions. Sirona gets upset that there might be casualties and that the group might have to split up, using Adrian or Jak as baits. The longer the discussion goes on, the drunker Sirona gets until she and Jak shares a moment of tension. As Jak mentions an inappropriate joke on Sirona's behalf, she storms off. Irdien follows her while Adrian stands up and straight-up punches Jak in the face hard enough to break his lip and possibly lose a tooth. Then he follows the girls out.
Irdien catches up to Sirona and asks if she is okay. Sirona invites her to her room, and they talk a bit before Adrian shows up to make sure Sirona is alright. Irdien decides to leave to tell Jak that he is an idiot. Sirona and Adrian stay behind for a while alone in the room doing whatever they choose.
Irdien find Jak again still at their table and notices his condition, concluding what must have happened. Jak is remorseful and gets even more worried when Irdien mentions that he has hurt other people than Sirona too.
A while later Adrain and Sirona return. Sirona asks what's happened to Jak's face, but nobody comes clean. She heals him, and Jak very eloquently and sincerely apologizes for his behaviour. Sirona tells him that it's alright and wishes him a good performance, slightly concerned about the amount of alcohol intake he seems to have done. Jak leaves to prepare. Since it's around 4 hours until the show even starts the Adrian, Labrat and Sirona decide to take a walk along the river, trying to scout some information about the Casino on Elms hill. Irdien is nowhere to be found. During their walk, Sirona gets spooked by some fireworks.
The Casino is a tall multi storage building that's at least two floors taller than the surrounding structures. It looks to be five storage tall. Adrian notices that many guards are patrolling the Casino but can't keep track on how many exactly; maybe 20. They seem to have large oversized versions of weapons that might be just for show, but it's hard to tell. Labrat spots a bit of the interior. It's massive with games, drinks and food. There are people all over it except for one part in the western edge that seems calmer, maybe its office space or servant quarters.
On their way back the trio squeezes in a quick shopping round for some new sets of clothes. Adrian wants a cloak to help hide his face, and Sirona wants to get some more options other then her current two outfits, plus starting to prepare for winter.
Back at the Mysterious bolder the group, still missing Irdien, is shown to a front table and presented with a variety of drinks, all on Jaks request.
The show starts with a woman dressed in a black robe doing a dance number including greens flames flaring on stage. After her performance, the stage goes dark until three spotlights come on. It's two women, at most wearing threads, dancing witch Jak in a fish stocking outfit complete with high heel shoes. It carries on with a phenomenal choreographed striptease of the bard before ending right at the moment before of full nudity.
At least that was the plan, but due to a small mishap, Jak unintentionally exposes himself generously at the same moment Sirona finally dares to peak up on the stage from her drinks. She drunkenly comments on the sudden display from a physicians point of view. Adrian suffers through it with the help of some good wine. The show comes to its conclusion after Jak performs an original song dressed as a green goat.
At the end of the show, Irdien sneaks out from her hidden spot to try and contact the Thanor'Than. She makes her way back to the sewers reading thieves cant to try and find her way. She comes upon a group of people that tells her to leave before they kill her. Irdien manages to convince them that she is looking for work and they ask her to seek out a drow at the Crossed Wands in the northern part of Elms hill. Then they send her down a tunnel. Irdien emerges back on the street of shadow port in Ravens Yard, not too far from where she and Sirona had breakfast this morning. She quickly crosses the river over to Elms Hill and starts searching for the tavern.
The Northern part turns out to be rich-looking. Irdien finds The Crossed Wands and enters. There's a female drow there called Miz'ri. Irdien approaches her, and they start to talk. Irdien gets a job to prove her loyalty and capability. A parcel that will need to be delivered. Irdien asks if the woman knows about the Maultiz families dealing with The Cardinal. She only knows that they are in debts over some scam and that the young heir to the vineyard is held at an estate not far from the tavern. They finish up their meeting with a game of darts, but with throwing knives, where Irdien wins. She thanks for her time and makes her way back towards The Mysterious Bolder.
