The library of Shadow Port

8 de abril de 2021
The group has moved to The Mysterious Bolder and more or less barricades themselves in a room to count their spoil.

Irdien decides to see if she can understand dwarvish and start a conversation with Adrian about what to do with Ilgron's dagger. As Adrian accidentally mentions Sironas name while speaking dwarvish about the blade, Sirona asks what they are talking about. After Jak scolded them for talking about Sirona behind her back, Adrian says they're talking about the dagger.

Jak has started sketching a temple for Morean to build in Tarkett and takes the operationality to ask Adrian about Dwarven phrases. Jak shows the drawing of the temple's centrepiece he wishes to design for Sirona. Sirona approves of the picture.

After some conversation, Irdien decides that she needs a drink and leaves, taking Sirona along to make sure she is alright. Meanwhile, Adrian starts burying the loot in the portal while Jak composes a song about Adrian's brother Vincent after being told he can't draw on the confiscated artworks' back.

Sirona tells Irdien she needs to go out and heal the potentially injured. Irdien tags along. They find a tavern with wounded people, but after seeing a dead man with an arrow through his neck, Irdien gets a panic attack and exists the pub. When Sirona finds her, they decide to go back to the others but first bypass the bakery. On the way, Irdien confides that the era cuff needs the user to be in love but refuses to accept that it would mean that she loves Jak. At the bakery, Sirona finds pekan nuts that she recognizes from her childhood and buys a pastry for everyone.

Back at the chamber, Jak tries to summon an undead goat to play with the Drakes, but Morean won't let him, so he starts looking over his book. As Sirona comes back, Jak and her talks about what creatures have souls. Jak shows Sirona a page with the ritual to resurrect a person from the dead.

Irdien gets her hands on Tusk Love while dispensing the pastry to the others. She also covertly receives the dagger back from Adrian. Adrian proposes the party should plan for a quick departure and buy horses. Irdien, L and Capper can't ride, so Sirona suggests everyone pair up on the horses.

Packing up their things and saying goodby to the establishment's Madam, the group all head towards The Maultiz manner. On the way, Jak wants to visit Bulbix to see if he's found anything for him to buy yet. The goblin has. He has also heard about the library's access that the group has received ass boon and demands one of our days in exchange for the manacles that help traping Garados. The group agrees to this. They go on to buy several things from Bulbix, such as healing potions of various calibre and some magical items that, if attuned to, could help you see in darkness or hear the location of your party members. The object, especially on display for Jak, is a Stone of Veles that will enhance his talents in numerous areas.

Afterwards, but on the way to Vincent and the estate, Adrian hastily purchases six horses, some camping gear and three off-the-rack sets of clothes for everyone, including a pair of fancy wear.

They spot two of the five hired Thanor'Thal bodyguards at the mansion, but none of the Cardinals men. Vincent is overjoyed at seeing them and hugs both Adrian and Irdien before almost crying as Jak performed the newly written musical piece bearing his name. Sirona makes a quick evaluation and points out that Vincent is exhausted and need to sleep.

Capper, who has been here for the last couple of days, can vouch that Vincent hasn't been sleeping. Capper has spent his time practising writing, and when Adrian tells him that he is giving him a horse, clothes, and magic armour Capper awkwardly thanks him.

The group happily sits down for brunch, and as they think it's better to start exploring the library tomorrow when they'll have more hours left of the day, they need another activity for today. Adrian wants to begin planing the route to Tarkett, and Sirona suggests that the ones that have never ridden a horse before can try it out in the courtyard on the backside of the townhouse. She also asks if they can visit Jahan and ask him how to protect against demon attacks. Adrian gets noticeably uncomfortable with the idea and tells the group what Jahan told him about his fears concerning Sirona's potential involvement with the Diabolist. Sirona freaks out but pretends that she isn't, telling everyone that they should carry on with the riding lesson idea.

Irdien thinks the big horse Adrian got specifically for Labrat looks like a giant soul-eating monster, but she faces her fears and mounts one of the other horses with Jak's help. Adrian guides Labrat, and they seem to be adjusting fin to the saddle. Capper is doing so well that one may wonder if he has stolen horses in his past.

At night Sirona has another bad nightdream, and she seeks out Labrat, asking if she can sleep in her bed tonight. L says yes without hesitation.

At the crack of dawn, the group eagerly heads to the library. After a whole day of searching, Jak has found an old captains log mentioning a cloister called; The Hallowed cliff monastery. With and order of Death priest devoted to Morena. It was located on the southeast coast of Ghiz, the island that today is the high seat of power for the Lich King.

Adrian has spent the same day researching what potentially could be the cause of his hampered magical ability. He finds a rapport of successful experiments done to mages where pieces of Dimeritium would be operated inside them to cut off the magic connection. A side effect would be that too much of the material would additionally affect their very life force. No matter how much Adrian searches, he can not find a single source suggesting any animal or creature that could cause that outcome.
