The girls need to get out, but Sirona Boydasks them to stay behind for a moment so that she can get her stuff from her room. Irdien Talvaeth agrees on the condition that she will answer some questions later.
Returning unnoticed with all she could collect from her chamber the girls head out in the dark courtyard just as the guards, Garon, Zygmunt and Gotfrid is returning to the mansion with Jak o' the Wisp. The guards tell Sirona Boydto go back inside. Irdien Talvaeth again fires her crossbow, and a fight breaks out. Jak o' the Wisp decides to side along with the girls trying to escape and even after Gotfrid summons imps just like Conrad had done before the newly formed group of unlikely allies defeat the cult members. Gotfrideven disappears in a poof of red smoke, never to be seen again.
The two other guards Sirona quickly stabilises, just barely stopping Jak from stabbing them both in their eyes to finish them off. Sirona starts healing Labrat that has taken some hits, but Irdien reminds everyone that they are not safe yet and that people inside the house are beginning to notice them. The group flees into the night, running out of town and into the woods.
Stopping next to a shrine in the forest Labrat and Sirona Boyd finally gets the opportunity to savior their newfound freedom. As they admire the shimmering night sky, Jak o' the Wisp sings them all a song before an unexpected sound comes from the ground as Adrian Maulitzmakes his presence known. The bard recognizes him as a nobleman, and after some failed attempts on Adrian's part to get Irdien to stop aiming her crossbow at him, she eventually decides that he is no threat.
Irdien asks Sirona if she knows anything about her missing brother and Sirona tells her that she met him a couple of months ago, but don't know where he is now. Adrian knows that there is a young dark elf studying back in Tarkett and after learning that the individuals that have burst onto his campsite for the night require help and a place to hide, he suggests that they all come with him to The Monster Hunting School in Tarkett.
