Don't cry over spilled milk

April 11, 2020

While Adrian Maulitzis looting the fallen enemies and searching for some clues as to who they where Sirona Boyd freaks out and tries to save the bandits lives. Adrian explains that she can't, and Sirona huddles up against Labrat seeking comfort. Irdien Talvaeth gives her candy in an attempt to calm her down. Jak o' the Wisp decides that he need to tell the innkeeper his story and leaves. Irdien also wants the group to move before the town guards get the wrong idea. Adrian leads the group, without Jak, to Philip's farm north of town, called Red hill farm. On the way, Irdien tells the others what she heard the bandits say before they attacked.
The girls are exhausted from not resting since the escape from the headquarters of The Order of Occult Secrets in Dombuton, and Aida, Philips wife, serves them food and offers them a place to sleep. She is a bit wary about the dark elf at first, but Adrian convinces her that the drow isn't a monster.

Adrian goes to inspect the cows along with Philip and after some investigation uncovers that all signs point towards a scorned  Chochlik. The backyard spirit is a benign imp that usually aids farmstead by warding off disease and ailment. This Chochlikgot stuck in a mousetrap, blamed it on the household, and sought justice by cursing their cows.
As the group sleep in the barn, Adrian made contact with the very, very angry Chochlik. The small imps cursing woke the others up, and Sirona offered to heal the creatures broken arm and bleeding wound. The Chochlik introduces himself as Gnark and thanks to Adrian's work; he agrees to lift the curs on the cows.
In the morning, Adrian discovers that his sword has received a blessing and appears lighter and sharper than before.

They all head back to town to meet up with Jak, and try to buy some armor and weapons for Sirona and Labrat, but as Irdien notices the two guards that escorted her out yesterday, she decides not to follow. Labrat stays behind with the dark elf.

Adrian and Sirona enter the small town, and Adrian explains to the guard what happened the day before with the bandits, although he is leaving out some details. The guards are satisfied with his report, and the duo proceeds to the blacksmith where they buy one leather armor, one chain-mail, a long sword and a mace.
It is now time to decide on what route to take to get to Tarkett. Adrian wants to keep to the main road in an attempt to get more work and coin. It's the fastest way but riskier if you don't want to draw attention to yourself, especially since it involves a border control by the great ravine.
