Justice served & a perfect home

4 de agosto de 2020

As the rest of the group make their way towards The Distiller and The Doe, they discuss their next move by going over all unexplored clues. In an alleyway, they met a highbrow mage that introduces himself as Ingacius Maurelius Pontus Merryweather the third. At the sight of the two black Drakes, he gives Adrian Maulitz and Labrat a metal piece that works like a key to a magic conservatory perfectly suited for the Drakes.

When they arrive at the Inn Sirona Boyd wakes up Torsar while Adrian and Labrat arrange the loading for the Drakes in the stables. Jak o' the Wisp starts ordering food for the group while Kassini leaves to fetch more of the Paladins. During their meal, Adrian tries out the wine selection and finds his family-wine lacking. He intents to write a stern letter home to his brother about it. As Kassini doesn't return Jak suggests for Irdien Talvaeth to look for her, but Irdien isn't interested in shadowing the drunken elf. Jak, a bit drunk himself, decides to go upstairs and spots Fortitude Kane nee Gravelock, the paladin cleric who is at the moment healing a passed out Kassini. Talking to her, she says she will send Commander Lexington Kane down to meet with us.

Commander Lexington Cain arrives, and we present him with everything we've found so far during our investigation while we look The Dream-master up in the empty pocket dimension meant for the Drakes. He says it's not enough if we hope to point fingers at Arlissa Thent and that we need to dig deeper. He offers to take Torsar to the authorities for us, but Sirona insists that she should go too to honor her promise.

After switching Torsar for the drakes in the pocket dimension Sirona, Lexington and Torsar leave for the guardhouse. For their trouble, the group get 15 gold pieces that they later decide to split evenly between the girls for pocket-money, and candy. As Sirona and the paladin leaves, she overhears Torsar distressful complaints about this being the wrong guardhouse.

Lexington escorts Sirona back to the gates of The Saddle where they catch up with the rest of the group on their way back to the guild house.

When they arrive, Capper is not anywhere waiting by the door. Jak is drunk enough to pass out, so the group gets him to bed. Sirona is also tuckered out from the fights and goes to sleep too. Adrian stays up to see if Capper returns and Irdien gets an idea of how to get back on Jak for stealing her dagger. She sneaks into the bed chamber and goes through his stuff before choosing her price. Jak's lute with its cover is swiftly hidden away. As she returns Labrat corners her asking what she was doing before asking if she couldn't hide the bard's shoes too for fun. Irdien takes Jaks shoes and goes down to Adrian asking if he could open the pocket dimension. Adrian agrees since he might as well check in on the drakes. Irdien deposits Jaks shoes gaining a bit of amused respect from Adrian as he figures out her intent. One by one, the still awake members of the group go to sleep. Adrian is the last to head up as he was waiting for Capper, but the boy never arrives.
