At the farm, the transactions end and as Adrian Maulitz finishes up getting the rest of the goats into the portal Sirona Boyd and Labrat players fetch with the farm dog, while Jak o' the Wisp buys three additional wool cloaks. The group enjoys the quietness of the farm except for Irdien Talvaeth that doesn't feel comfortable with the big animals. Still, she is happy to be slightly inconvenienced if it makes Sirona less tense after her experience at the Tempel this morning.
During their short break, they start planning their next move and decide that they should check out the address the Zombie bringing cart belonged to. They start talking a little and during this Sirona get to see Adrian's journal that, apart from monsters, also have some mentions about his feelings for her. Sirona asks some advice form Irdien on how to confirm that she feels the same way. Jak and Irdien leave the barn to give them privacy under the pretense of getting lemonade. When they are alone, Adrian kisses Sirona.
As they start heading back to Eldolan the group keep talking, learning that Irdiens culture value spiders and that Sirona used to build scarecrows as a child. Adrian also gives Sirona his blue gem to offer as a donation for The Mission of Lost Hope to help more people from the Warrens now that they have taken out the main drug-dealer.
The group take a dinner break in the forest where Irdien and Jak go hunting, ending up playing another game for answers after Jak slips up mentioning the empire by name, piquing Irdiens interest. She wins the game, but Jak refuses to give her the answers she wants, dodging them in a to her very annoying way. Irdien decides to keep her questions for later.
The group finishes their meal and arrives back in Eldolan. Since its near the time when the gates close there is an extra activity within the guard. Jak finds one that he sees wear the symbol of The Prince of Shadows and bribes him to let him enter without question. The guard accepts.
The group continued towards the Saddle, and the address that turns out to be a Pawnshop called Thistle do nicely. It is unfortunately closed, but there is a light in the window upstairs. Jak knocks but there is no reaction. Adrian gestures for the group to follow him around the building. There they find a warehouse connected to the pawnshop.
Putting his sword in the gap between the doors Jak managed to lift a wooden beam blocking the door on the other side. The ruckus of it falling alerts the shop keeper and he comes down with his crossbow drawn. Adrian, however, has the time to sneak in and surprise him with his sword, telling him to put down his weapon.
He and Jak then start questioning the shopkeeper learning that the cart was bought just a couple of days before by a man called Grayson. He was dressed like a dockworker, but he didn't look like a man that knew hard work. His hands and physic were more like the one of a scholar. He mentioned The Old Abandoned Brewery. That's all the shopkeeper knows. He seems to have forgiven the group for breaking into his home when realizing that they are investigating the zombie attack. He only asks that we leave his shop out of the report.
The group heads to the old Abounded Brewery to check it out. It looks quite closed up, and people are walking around outside. They leave Capper to keep an eye out before finding a sewer grate. Jak recalls that the map he saw of the city had an exit from the sewers to the Brewery. The group press on, eventually finding the right grate to exit into the Brewery. After Irdien makes sure that the room above is empty, Labrat opens the way up. There is a bared backroom from where Irdien noticed movement before. As Adrian approaches, he sees that there are Ghouls inside. Jak comes up and strums his lute in that extremely blazing way that pulverizes all the ghouls but one. Adrian gets in and cuts the last one down before scolding Jak for reveling their presence. They don't have much more time than that before a beam of negative energy hits Sirona from somewhere above them. The attack is followed up by a crossbow bolt piercing Irdiens armor. Sirona starts running towards a staircase she hopes leads up to where their attackers are. Adrian follows her while firing off an arrow that hits the mage straight in his eyeball, completely scramble his brain, killing him and letting his body fall from the upper floor. Almost Simultaneously Jak fires a magical acid arrow at the remaining archer upstairs. The acid hits the man in the chest, and he soon keels over and joins his friend on the bottom floor. Sirona spins and turns away from the staircase, running towards the fallen bodies to see if she can save them. They are both beyond her abilities.
Adrian comes up, trying to apologize as he retrieves his arrow in an attempt to make him look less guilty. Sirona is angry. They don't get the time to talk more because two dwarven skeletons appear around the corner where the staircase is. Jak, Adrian and Labrat run's up to dispose of them, but one of Sirona's radiant beam from behind is what makes the last explode into dust. She is still furious, and Adrian doesn't know what to say except that it wasn't on purpose. She is giving him the silent treatment.
The group investigate the rest of the Brewery. The mage, they figure out based on the shopkeeper's description is Grayson. He has a note sent by Arlissa Thent, furthering incriminating her. Except for some gold and rings, there is little of interest in the area. The group decides to head back out.
They find Capper high as a kite on Dreamleaf leaf almost completely unresponsive outside. Sirona tries to cure his buzz with a heal, but it doesn't take so she instead goes through the boy's pockets and find a pouch of Dream leaf. She silently hands it to Adrian, who starts escorting the boy home by steering him on the shoulder.
