The town thrives on a combination of agriculture, animal husbandry, and trade, with vast fields of wheat and barley waving in the breeze, and shepherds guiding their flocks across the rolling hills.
Unique to Daloon is the annual Windrush Festival, a lively celebration that marks the changing seasons and the convergence of grasslands and rocky terrain. During this festival, locals engage in traditional dances, showcase regional crafts, and participate in friendly competitions that reflect the symbiosis of their agrarian and pastoral way of life.
Notable figures in Daloon include Tahara Pure, a skilled herbalist renowned for her remedies crafted from the unique flora found in the rocky hills. The leader of the farmers guild, Zuvin Serenreh, a farmer renowned for his sheep and horses and a crafty politician, and Vaten Simensa, the Chief Guardian (captain of the guards), an effortless warrior and hunter who has been leading her guards firmly in the defense of the town, against the wild creatures from the hills.
Daloon has its challenges, as the grasslands at times attract nomadic tribes of MnSobek with their own customs and occasional disputes over resources, and the frontier town is at times waylayed by odd creatures from the hills to the south. The town's Referants, a council made of powerful members of the town, navigates these challenges, striving to maintain the delicate balance between the members' personal aims and desires and sustaining the survivability of the town itself.
