Sha'an stands as the largest village among the swamp-dwelling faction of the MnSobek, earning a reputation for its resilient and tough inhabitants, often nicknamed Savages. This enclave serves as a testament to the resourcefulness and hardiness required to thrive in the challenging environment of the Black Marsh.

Over 99% of the locals are MnSobek  

Governance:

Like most MnSobek settlements, they are guided by the elders of their tribe. Chief among them are the Elder of the Hunt, the Elder of the Faith, and the Elder of the Land. Governance is a communal endeavor guided by the most respected and most involved among the tribe.  

Culture:

Beyond Sha'an, numerous smaller settlements dot the periphery of the swamp, collectively forming a web of interconnected communities. The residents of Sha'an and its surroundings earn their livelihoods through a lifestyle more attuned to the wild. Rangers, barbarians, hunters, and individuals often referred to as wildsfolk navigate the swamp's challenges, relying on their expertise in tracking game and harnessing the resources of the untamed surroundings.

In Sha'an and its neighboring settlements, the rhythm of life is dictated by the swamp's unique demands, and the people have adapted to not only survive but also flourish amidst the challenging terrain. The swamp faction stands as a testament to the diverse ways in which the MnSobek have tailored their lifestyles to the distinct landscapes that shape their existence.

Transportation:

No roads lead in an out of Sha'an and all travel is made by way of skiff or punt, or by foot travel through the treacherous swamp.
