Geography & Climate:
The Khuree Desert stretches north of the mountains, cracked and wrinkled from eons of relentless heat. Parts of it rocky, others hard dried earth, but most of it is a dune sand-sea. Sand vipers swim in the sand. Sandstorms erupt from nowhere, ochre Dvins blotting out the world, desert spirits who dance on the wind and steal souls with vain promises. Mirage oases beckon with shimmering lies, luring the thirsty to their doom
Culture:
Life fights hard in this land of dust and bone. Cacti, claw at the sky. Lizards, like scattered jewels on the sand, dart for shade. Scorpions lurk beneath rocks, their sting a whisper of pain. But even in this furnace, whispers of magic hum – in the dancing heat mirages that shimmer like promises, in the starlit nights where constellations tell tales older than time, and in the legends whispered around flickering campfires.
Settlements:
Khamriin Khiid, Uliastai, Mubalik, Mume.
Population:
The Hadeeb, nomads with spirits as tough as the desert itself, carve their homes in this unforgiving landscape. Wrapped in loose robes, their eyes shielded from the sun's glare, they navigate the dunes with the grace of gazelles, reading the sand's language and following ancient caravan paths etched in bone and memory.
