Combat Smith

General Feat (Prerequisite: Level 4+, Intelligence or Strength 13+)

You gain the following benefits:

Ability Score Increase. Increase your Intelligence or Strength by 1, to a maximum of 20.

Armament. When you finish a Long Rest you can improve weapons, armor, or shields. When you do so, select items equal to your proficiency bonus and provide the following benefits:

  • Weapon - The weapon gains a +1 bonus to its damage.

  • Shield - When you are hit with an attack or spell that inflicts physical damage, you can use the shield once to provide Resistance against that damage; no reaction required. Afterward, the shield loses its reinforcement.

  • Armor - The armors grant the wearer Temporary Hit Points in the following amounts according to their classification:
    Light - Half your character level plus the modifier of the ability you increased with this feat;
    Medium - Your character level plus the modifier of the ability you increased with this feat;
    Heavy - 1.5 times y
    our character level plus the modifier of the ability you increased with this feat;

    These benefits remain for 24 hours or until you complete a Long Rest.

Patchwork. When you finish a Short Rest, you can patch up half your Proficiency Bonus (round down) the amount of armor or shields you've worked on during the previous Long Rest, and have lost their improvements, and provide that item with the same benefits again. Alternatively, you can provide the weapon benefit to a new weapon.
These benefits remain for 24 hours or until you complete a Long Rest.
