Controlled by House Vosh, the Guild of the Spark is the Empire’s exclusive authority on thermal energy and metallurgy. In a world where fire was once unknown, this organization serves as both a high-tech industrial powerhouse and a regulatory gatekeeper.

The Guild manages the transition from "Cold Science" (polymers and clay) to "High-Heat Engineering" (iron and steel). They are responsible for the forging of military-grade armaments and the maintenance of the city’s massive furnaces.

The Thermal Permit System: No furnace, kiln, or steam engine can legally operate within the Empire without a "Spark-License" issued by the Guild. These permits regulate the safety of volatile fire-tech and ensure House Vosh receives a percentage of every unit of heat produced.

This is regulated by the guild's enforcing arm, the Order of the Iron Fist.

The Ash-Halls, located on the border of the Industrial Ward and the Gardens, are the guild's headquarters. It is a massive, soot-stained fortress where the chimneys never stop smoking, and the heat can be felt through the street's cobblestones.
