Hollow King Claim is a large open-pit mine run by the Iron Gospel Railway near rich, dark-gold ore seams. The site has a ring fence, guard posts, a rail loading ramp, explosive sheds, and an assay office. Work runs in shifts around the clock. Crews are mostly enslaved orcs and company warforged under Dwarf foremen, with hobgoblin constables on contract. Output is weighed on-site and moved by rail twice daily.

The ground here is unstable and noisy—blasts echo, timbers creak, and tools break more than usual. Safety rules are strict: no open flames near the lower cuts, helmets and lamp tags required, and all visitors sign a liability ledger and stay with an escort. Locals say the ore “sings” and that the pit sometimes pushes wind up from below; the company blames gas pockets and pressure changes. Either way, the Claim is profitable, dangerous, and heavily policed.
